COACH EDUCATION
COACHING FOR LEADERS
Is coaching part of your leadership role but you’ve never focused on how you coach or whether your coaching is effective? Or are you responsible for developing coaching skills in others and need an effective framework and steps to help leaders develop their coaching skills? Whatever the reasons for your interest, our 2-day program will meet your needs.
Coaching is becoming the leadership style for success in the 21st century. It is based on building the competence, character and commitment required for managing in turbulent times. COACHING FOR LEADERS will introduce you to a range of coaching approaches, concepts and practices. You will learn our proven three-stage coaching process that provides a simple outline for successful coaching relationships. You will see master coaches model effective coaching for each stage and analyze with you the underlying strategies. We will discuss the various tools and applications used most frequently and their strengths and weaknesses. And you will assess your own coaching skills and areas needing development based on our coaching competency questionnaire. In addition, each program includes practice sessions where you can try out what you are learning in a safe environment and receive feedback from coaches and peers on your development.
The program is supported by a workbook full of readings, handouts, resources, helpful hints, worksheets, planning tools and practice cases. You will work as a learning community as well as in small group formats. You will leave the program with a follow up plan to continue your coaching exploration. You will be supported as you implement your plan with teleconferences where you can report on your progress and get additional help and feedback on your challenges. You will also receive a copy of the award-winning book Leadership Alchemy: The Magic of the Leader Coach.
