Dr. Lorraine Clemes is an Associate of The Coaching Project as well as president of her own firm specializing in facilitating individuals in making their most effective career and life decisions. Corporate experience includes operational, management and consulting roles. For many years she managed leadership development and change projects within the financial services industry and for a brief period was an OD consultant within the Ministry of the Attorney General. Lorraine has worked with participants from across North America, the Caribbean and Europe in training leadership facilitators and coaches. Projects included involvement in championing a new performance management system, succession planning, communicating large scale change, contributing to an HR strategy for a Ministry and facilitating focus groups with executives.
Specific areas of expertise include coaching executives on issues of career management, communication and life balance. She is realistic about the challenges executives face in this regard. A strong conviction that starting with what is, reframing what is possible and building a strategy that helps us stay in touch with our values leads to living powerfully and with purpose.
Since 1989 Lorraine has consulted mainly in the areas of leadership development, transition and change, and team effectiveness. Some of her clients include CIBC, Bank of Montreal, Mercantile & General, British Aviation Insurance Group, Rogers, SmithKline Beecham, Mary Kay, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Ontario Breast Cancer Foundation and the Alberta Government.
Lorraine teaches Communicating for Decision Making at University of Toronto, and Organizational Behaviour at George Brown College. Volunteer work has included teaching ESL and delivering workshops on thriving through change to several community organizations. She has presented at several conferences on change, career management and living with purpose.
