Dr. Susan Wright is President of The Coaching Project Inc., a Canadian firm specializing in executive coaching, leadership development and coach education.
Susan works primarily with large corporations coaching individual executives and executive teams to achieve their best performance and potential. She is an expert on organizational change. She also coaches senior leaders on succession systems, talent management and leadership development. Some of her clients include Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, MDS, AEGON, American Express, CBC, Nationwide Enterprise, West Group Publishing, Franklin Templeton, Citigroup, Dial, New York Life.
Susan is also very active in Leader Coach education. She is the Program Director for the “Leader Coach” and the “Internal Coach” certification programs offered by The Coaching Project. For five years, she was a Program Director for the “Professional Coaching” certification program at the Hudson Institute in Santa Barbara. She is on the faculty of the Executive MBA program with Athabasca University where she teaches Developing Your Leader Coach.
She is the former Corporate Vice President of Human Resources at Ontario Hydro where she played a central role in business change strategy and leadership development. She was a part-time Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York for eight years. Susan has written and spoken extensively in her field and has worked internationally in Malaysia, Africa, the Caribbean, Peru and Australia. She is the author of two books, “Learning Works” and “Leadership Alchemy”.
Susan has a Doctorate in Education from the University of Toronto with a focus on developing leaders in turbulent times and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University with a focus on organization change and design. She is a certified professional coach of the Hudson Institute in Santa Barbara.
